Adam Smith

Adam Smith (June 1723 – July 17, 1790) was a Scottish moral philosopher and a pioneering political economist. One of the key figures of the intellectual movement known as the Scottish Enlightenment, he is known primarily as the author of two treatises: The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759), and An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations (1776).



Frederic Bastiat

Bastiat was born in
Bayonne, Aquitaine, France. Bastiat is the author of many works on economics and political economy, generally characterized by their clear organization, forceful argumentation, and acerbic wit.


Ludwig von Mises

Ludwig Heinrich Edler von Mises (1881 – 1973) was an Austrian economist, philosopher, and a major influence on the modern libertarian movement. He has been called the "uncontested dean of the Austrian School of economics".


Frederich von Hayek

Friedrich Hayek was the 20th Century's leading libertarian social theorist. Born in
Vienna in 1899, his early writings were on mainstream economic theory, developing "Austrian School" ideas on prices, capital, and trade-cycle theory.
