Summer seminar in Georgia
Bringing
the concepts of liberty in the former communist countries has always been the
goal of IES. This year we advanced even further east and organize, in
cooperation with the New Economic School as local partner and the The Friedrich Naumann Stiftung as co-sponsor, the first IES Europe
& Liberty seminar in Bakuriani, Georgia (July 7-13) .
Summer seminar in Morocco In
2008 IES relaunched its French speaking seminar in cooperation with Un Monde Libre,the French project advocating
individual rights, economic freedom and peace.
A the longest lasting
destination for an IES seminar, the Europe & Liberty seminar in Gummersbach, was the place where many young minds were first introduced to concepts such as
rule of law or free market.
Encouraged by last
year’s success and with the help of our local partners, the Flemish classical
liberal student organization LVSV and the Cato institute, IES returned to the
medieval city of Leuven, Belgium for the second year and organized a new
edition of the Liberty Seminar.
