Summer Seminar in Georgia

Bringing the concepts of liberty in the former communist countries has always been the goal of IES. This year we went back again to Georgia to the second IES Europe & Liberty seminar in Gudauri (July 5-12), in cooperation with the New Economic School-Georgia as local partner and the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit as co-sponsors.

This year the faculty in Georgia was : Pierre Garello, Dan Mitchell, Wolfgang Muller, Wolfgang John, Gia Jiandieri and Paata Sheshelidze.

The seminar attracted students from Eastern Europe who usually don’t join seminars organized further West. The Friedrich Naumann Stiftung and New Economic School of Georgia was co-sponsoring this seminar in Georgia.
